Project Highlights
- Houses the order’s headquarter offices
- Also serves as the residence for the sisters
- The chapel won the 2007 AIA’s Institute Honor Award for Interior Architecture
The Kirk Williams Company served as the mechanical and plumbing contractor for the construction of the Saint Mary of the Springs Mother House for the Dominican Sisters.
This facility serves as the residence for the sisters of the order, as well as their congregational headquarter offices. The residences encompass all the elements that make assisted living integral to its functioning; in addition to the residences, there is onsite laundry, kitchen and cafeteria, and chapel facilities. The entire facility and all fixtures are ADA compliant.
This project showed that The Kirk Williams Company can not only handle large projects (which this certainly was), but that we could be competitive and extremely responsive in dealing with individual residences. This included items such as hooking up single showers and water closets, while building the rest of the far-reaching complex at the same time.
