The USPS Processing and Distribution Facility is responsible for sorting, processing, and routing mail and packages for the United States Postal Service.
The Kirk Williams Company served as the design and installation contractor for both the plumbing and HVAC systems for this large building, whose scope is truly staggering. The building itself has 20.66 acres under roof—or the equivalent of a little less than 16 regulation football fields including end zones.
In servicing the building with plumbing and HVAC systems, we designed and installed a system that included 9 miles of ductwork with a weight of 360,000 pounds, as well as 8.8 miles of piping.
